THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Senior Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for shaping and executing sourcing strategies across Chipotle’s beef, pork, dairy, and commissary categories. You will drive cost efficiency, supply continuity, and innovation while upholding Chipotle’s Food With Integrity standards. You will lead a high-performing team, build strategic supplier partnerships, and leverage market intelligence to support growth and menu innovation. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—ensuring a resilient, scalable supply base that enables operational excellence across North America.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
· Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies, including pricing models, supplier portfolio design, and long-term capacity expansion
· Build deep market intelligence capabilities to anticipate commodity trends and inform business decisions
· Lead sourcing strategies for new menu items and limited-time offerings (LTOs)
· Identify and deliver margin improvement opportunities through strategic negotiations and value chain optimization
· Manage the Food With Integrity auditors and ensure program compliance and documentation
· Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers
· Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, service, and innovation
· Lead regular business reviews to assess risk, performance, and forward strategies
· Ensure supplier alignment with Chipotle’s Food With Integrity standards
· Proactively identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies
· Ensure continuity of supply across a complex, multi-region network
· Oversee compliance with contracts, regulatory requirements, and internal standards
· Partner with Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
· Support the S&OP process to balance supply and demand effectively
· Enable data-driven decision-making through analytics and insights
· Build, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement organization
· Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
· Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred
· 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
· 8+ years of leadership experience building and developing teams
· Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, pricing, negotiations, and supplier management
· Strong understanding of commodity markets and supply chain dynamics
· Experience driving sustainability or responsible sourcing initiatives preferred
· Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at the executive level
PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $225,000-275,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
