THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Master Data Management (MDM) owns the day-to-day governance, accuracy, and administration of Supply Chain master data across Oracle and connected systems. This role ensures item Stock Keeping Unit (SKU), Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), supplier, unit-of-measure, case-pack, location, and related Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data are accurate, synchronized, and communicated throughout the full item lifecycle, from setup and supplier onboarding through ordering, receiving, inventory, traceability, invoicing, changes, and retirement. This primary point of contact for Supply Chain master data requests and issues, will partner with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA), Finance/Accounts Payable, Suppliers, Distribution Centers, Data Insights & Analytics (DI&A), and IT to support data quality, system integrations, technology implementations, and data cleanup. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across business processes and systems.
LOCATION
This hybrid position will be based in our Newport Beach, CA office 4 days per week (with work from home on Friday). Remote work is not available for this role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Administer and maintain Supply Chain master data governance standards, workflows, approvals, controls, and service levels for item/SKU, supplier, GTIN, unit-of-measure, location, and contract-related records.
- Manage the end-to-end item/SKU master data lifecycle in Oracle and connected systems, from initial setup and supplier onboarding through activation, ordering, receiving, inventory, traceability, invoicing, changes, and retirement.
- Create, validate, and maintain SKU-to-GTIN relationships, item hierarchies, units of measure, case-pack configurations, descriptions, supplier assignments, item status, effective dates, and distribution-center attributes.
- Review master data requests for completeness, required approvals, business rules, and downstream impacts before creation or change; resolve missing or conflicting information with requestors.
- Coordinate new item launches, SKU and GTIN changes, conversions, and deactivations with Procurement, Planning, Logistics, FSQA, Finance/Accounts Payable, Suppliers, and Distribution Centers; communicate effective dates, cutover steps, and required actions.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for Supply Chain master data questions and issues; troubleshoot and resolve exceptions affecting ordering, receiving, inventory, invoicing, traceability, reporting, or partner connectivity.
- Monitor data quality through reports, reconciliations, and controls; identify duplicate, incomplete, inaccurate, stale, or mismatched records and coordinate timely correction.
- Execute and coordinate data cleanup, standardization, remediation, and migration efforts; perform root-cause analysis and recommend preventive controls.
- Reconcile master data across Oracle, MDM platforms, Supply Chain visibility and traceability tools, supplier feeds, distribution-center systems, and reporting environments to ensure consistent synchronization.
- Partner with DI&A, IT, and product owners on system integrations and technology changes; support requirements definition, data mapping, testing, data conversion, cutover, validation, and post-implementation support.
- Liaise with suppliers, distribution centers, and external vendors to ensure data feeds, item attributes, GTINs, and system exchanges are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal data standards.
- Maintain master data documentation, including data definitions, process maps, standard operating procedures, request forms, approval matrices, change logs, and training materials; support user training and adoption.
- Develop and monitor master data KPIs, including accuracy, completeness, first-time-right rate, request cycle time, issue volume, and aging; provide insights and recommendations to improve performance.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve master data processes and controls, including the adoption of new technologies and analytical methods.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in master data management, ERP data administration, Supply Chain systems, procurement operations, data governance, or a related analytical role.
- Hands-on Oracle ERP experience is required, including item/SKU and supplier master data maintenance and support.
- Demonstrated knowledge of item master structures and the end-to-end SKU lifecycle, including GTIN/GS1 standards, units of measure, case-pack hierarchies, supplier relationships, location and distribution-center data, effective dating, and item status.
- Understanding of Supply Chain and procure-to-pay transaction flows, including item setup, purchase orders, receiving, inventory, traceability, and invoicing.
- Strong analytical and technical skills; advanced Excel is required, with SQL, BI/reporting tools, Oracle data tools, or MDM platforms such as Semarchy preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume requests, maintain clear documentation, meet deadlines, and follow controls without sacrificing accuracy.
- Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to translate data issues for business and technical partners; food service, restaurant, CPG, GS1/RFID, or traceability experience is preferred.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00–$122,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
