THE OPPORTUNITY

As the IT Help Desk Trainer, you will contribute to the overall success of the business by analyzing Tier 1 support results of the managed service provider and the internal resources. This role engages with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 teams to optimize the supportability of existing technology and ensures operational consistency as new technology rollouts, enhancements and changes are introduced. This role enables consistent restaurant focused support and supports continuously improving business response. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Establish the structure and systems to efficiently design, develop, deliver, track and measure training deliverables for the Help Desk team.
  • Develop and deliver an effective and consistent new hire training curriculum, including trainer and participant training materials, and analyzing existing materials.
  • Design, develop and deliver soft skills and professional development curriculum. 
  • Assist in quality review of Help Desk contacts, (calls, tickets, and e-mails). Identify group and individual training and coaching needs based on review findings. Provide feedback to supervisors, and leverage information to support a continuous feedback loop.
  • Establish oneself as a subject-matter expert; partner with Help Desk leadership to recommend and implement process improvements and efficiencies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • B.A./B.S. in related field (Information Systems/Technology, Computer Systems/Science/Engineering) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in design, delivery, and evaluation of technical training; as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably in a technical call center environment.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly.  
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to organize, present, and articulate ideas both verbally and in writing to a diverse audience; the ability to demonstrate effective and credible presentation and facilitation skills, in individual and large-group settings.
  • Propensity to be creative, proactive, and self-motivated in the execution and completion of assigned accountabilities, including knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, trends, and techniques.  
  • Performance management experience desired, including the ability to provide balanced feedback, navigate difficult conversations, and collaborate with others.
  • Technical knowledge of Aloha, networking, and POS hardware preferred. 
  • Ability to flex to the needs of a continuously changing business environment.
  • Excel, Canva, Camtasia, Articulate, PowerPoint, and LMS skills.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $73,000.00–$101,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
