THE OPPORTUNITY

The Payroll Operations Coordinator supports the daily operational support of payroll for a designated geography, typically one region, in the US Chipotle business. This role works independently and maintains a strong understanding of payroll methods, procedures, and terms. This position serves as a coordinator of payroll matters as they affect other not only our restaurants but other departments.  Has excellent customer service and communication skills. Has daily contact with employees of all levels to address and resolve payroll questions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Answers calls/emails from employees, government agencies, and 3rd party vendors on any questions with employee checks, the payroll system, W-2’s, etc.
• Assist in resolving high level payroll questions and issues. This role collaborates with key stakeholders in the geography as well as across People Experience, ESC, and Payroll Tax to ensure consistent support, problem resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Detailed review of daily checks and payroll reports for any exceptions or errors and verifies data entry for accuracy. Making time edits and pay edits when necessary. 
• Reviews checks and payroll reports for any exceptions or errors and verifies data entry for accuracy.
• Inputs, prepares, and maintains both on-cycle, and manual check data including stop payments, voids, or deposit reversals.
• Assists in maintaining payroll files.
• Processes direct deposit, and other general deduction information in the payroll system
• Depending on the needs of the business and/or department, may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or to resolve a business issue.
• Provides payroll reports to other departments.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred.
• 1-3 years working in a payroll/customer service-related field.
• Workday Payroll, Kronos Dimensions and Excel Experience.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $21.63 to $27.40 per hour. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
