THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Field Asset Protection Manager, you will be responsible for safeguarding Chipotle’s restaurant and field leadership employees, assets, culture, and brand by leading investigations into fraud and workplace violence for 2-3 assigned regions. You will collaborate closely with restaurant leaders, HR, and legal to assess threats, conduct fact-finding interviews, and leverage various tools and resources such as POS analytics, exception reporting, video review, and case management to drive fair and timely resolutions. You will also support the broader asset protection team in ensuring cash handling and safety best practices are understood and enforced.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Manage 2-3 regional portfolios of internal theft and fraud investigations at restaurants, to include but not limited to cashier theft, burglaries, scams, inventory theft, and other types of internal and external fraud.
• Prioritize case management by risk and influence timely, defensible resolutions, recovering losses where possible.
• With guidance from leadership, assist with people safety and workplace violence incidents in restaurants, to include but not limited to interviewing witnesses and threatened employees, developing employee protection plans for approval, implementing safety plans, and working with law enforcement and private security.
• Document investigations and interviews in the case management system designated by management. Preserve evidence and statements in a manner consistent with policy.
• When necessary, partner with law enforcement to investigate matters of fraud and violence.
• Conduct Asset Protection Snapshots (audits) in restaurants to ensure compliance with Chipotle's cash handling and security policies.
• Through coaching and teaching, build the capability of restaurant and field management to improve compliance with Chipotle's cash handling and security policies, leveraging remote Audit and snapshot findings to identify trends as a guide to capability building efforts.
• Assist restaurants with guard, camera, and alarm service requests as necessary, entering and/or approving ServiceChannel requests to expedite such requests.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
• 3-5 Years’ Work Experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, workplace misconduct investigations and/or Safety and Security is required.
• Both English and Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• Wicklander Zulawski - Non-Confrontational Interview experience
• Experience with behavioral threat assessment and management techniques.
• Proficient with MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook Experience with video surveillance.
• Strong investigative and audit skills with a demonstrated ability to be fair and equitable.
• Ability to demonstrate professional and clear communication to communicate investigative findings to leadership.
• Ability to conduct phone interviews and administrative duties from home with internet/phone connectivity reliability.
• Experience tracking investigations with case management software.
• Proficient with exception-based reporting (EBR) software to identify theft and fraud.
• Ability to support emergency situations and/or investigations outside of core business hours when necessary.
• Travel required up to 50%
PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $99,000.00–$138,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
