THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Senior Engineer, Restaurant Support DevOps, you will be responsible for designing and developing resources to proactively monitor and measure the Restaurant Crew technology experience, maintaining environment standards, and implementing processes and technology to enhance the experience. This role will serve as a support lead on new restaurant technology initiatives, training and coaching teammates and partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, create, and scale support scripts/tools to ensure deployment and troubleshooting consistency and decrease time to resolution.

  • Design automation, effective monitoring, and analysis solutions.

  • Define requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to include Operations, Support, Development, QE and vendors in order to support continuous improvement/continuous deployment.

  • Take the lead on new technology initiatives.

  • Utilize multiple toolsets, including observability tools, logs, video footage, and call recordings to isolate root cause for pervasive restaurant technology issues.

  • Replicate reported issues and documents results.

  • Test fixes.

  • Identify validation criteria for technology deployments.

  • Establish methods to validate and quantify deployment results (continuous improvement/continuous delivery).

  • Provide Tier 3 support for highly technical issues.

  • Collaborate with software vendors to investigate and develop solutions to production issues.

  • Respond to and remediate alerts, as needed.

  • Participates in and supports relevant major incidents.

  • Provide Tier 3 support for highly technical issues.

  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation of work completed, following defined procedures.

  • Coach and support DevOps Engineers and stakeholders in technical issue investigation and resolution.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • 5-8 years of advanced IT Support or Development for multi-unit enterprise.

  • A+, CSM, ITIL certifications required.

  • Network+ or ITILv4 certifications preferred.

  • Advanced NCR Aloha Support or Administration. 

  • Automation using Puppet, Chef, UiPath; Agile project management methodology; Edge computing; Linux; scripting/development

  • Conduct root cause analysis of highly impactful technical problems

  • Ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to a diverse customer base via multiple communication channels.

  • Must be available for on-call support on a rotating basis.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00–$115,000.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
