The primary objective of the Chipotle Supply Chain Department is to support Operations by sourcing the highest quality foods and ensuring a sustainable, safe and cost-effective supply from farm to restaurant. The department is empowered to drive continuous improvement and increase transparency throughout the supply chain. The Supply Chain Technology Manager (SCTM) works within the Supply Chain team to develop and administer department systems and in some cases related programs. The SCTM is

responsible for ensuring that the design, strategy, support, and performance of supply chain systems maximize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. The SCTM must manage internally and externally to guarantee rapid task and approval completion.


Key responsibilities include defining, designing and implementation of the systems and emerging technology that the supply chain team requires. The position works closely with Chipotle’s technology partners, Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA), Buyers, Logistics, Information Technology (IT), Business Intelligence (BI), and Back-of-House Systems (BOH



In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and administer a new generation of technology, processes, reporting,
  • and tools to continuously improve the digital transformation of the supply chain
  • Provide change management and training materials for technology projects
  • implemented. Maintain updated documentation to facilitate project sustainability
  • and knowledge dissemination
  • As the subject matter expert of supply chain systems, work with technology
  • partners and cross-functional teams at Chipotle to drive development of new
  • functionality, design, and systems in response to supply chain and company
  • needs
  • Support business reporting through analyzing and developing user requirements,
  • product testing and management, close communication with stakeholders, and
  • KPI reporting
  • Facilitate discussion around and contribute as a thought leader to expansion
  • Strategies
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external business partners to identify,
  • research, and resolve system issues/opportunities
  • Become a super user of supply chain systems such as FoodLogiQ, Oracle,
  • ServiceNow, Sharepoint, RFID technology and more


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, supply chain, food or related field, or
  • equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree/MBA in business, technology, supply chain management or related field,
  • or equivalent experience preferred
  • PMP, CSCMP, APICS, GS1 certifications preferred
  • Interest in and knowledge of supply chain, restaurant operations, and the foodservice
  • Industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service mentality
  • Extreme attention to detail. Ensure small details are not lost while achieving larger overall
  • Objectives
  • Comfortable working in web-based applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Strong drive to stay organized and move swiftly to accomplish tasks and solve problem
  • Strong analytical skills and broad understanding of how data, statistics, and analysis are
  • applied in an enterprise environment and used to inform decisions
  • Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels
