We have an excellent oportunity for a Head of Acquisitions to join our Chipotle team in Europe. Located in Europe, the Head of Acquisitions for Europe will be a subject matter expert in restaurant / retail development with a proven track record of successful growth in the UK and EMEA region.  Initial growth territories include UK, France and Germany with additional growth driven by strategic priorities.  

The successful candidate will bring a broad network of contacts in the real estate / development community and will understand local nuance and legal frameworks relating to lease criteria and restaurant opening processes & procedures.  S/he will lead and oversee the creation of a real estate broker network for Chipotle.  

In addition, s/he is a person who has the confidence of management to develop people, coach other members of the property Triad (acquisition, design, construction) in addition to outside brokers and consultants whilst demonstrating the strategic balance which is needed to continue to grow at Chipotle.  

The Head of Acquisitions for Europe is responsible for leading the project from identifying the real estate location to opening of the restaurant and may include negotiating post opening issues with the landlord.   

UK/France based position


1. Lead and oversee both internal and external people to achieve growth goals for multiple territories and countries. Management of an effective network of alliance partners for acquisitions, estates, development and Legal while supporting new concept development as appropriate.  

2. Cultivate, manage and develop a broker network for Chipotle. 

3. Negotiate business terms and conditions of contracts with a range of landlords from small investors to institutions while maintaining ongoing communication with local law firms on contract status.  Demonstrate a strong understanding of economic implications of all negotiated terms.  Oversee and manage each deal from initial market plan through LOI to opening. 

4. Perform market research, both formal & informal, to assess real estate site opportunities while ensuring alignment with Managing Director on trade area priorities.  Ensure all real estate data in Chipotles project management system is up to date and accurate.

5. Participation and contribution to the annual market planning process including creation of a 3to5 year pipeline projection for all European markets.  Our market plan encompasses a multiyear outlook for both existing and new restaurant development.  

6. Work closely with Head of Construction and Project Management to ensure seamless handover from the acquisition to planning and construction phase.

7.  Work closely with Head of Construction and Project Management to ensure alignment on design developments and post completion reviews.

8. Lead presentations and training for Operations, brokers and / or serve as a liaison for new customer concepts. For all company owned and operated markets, present new deals for approval consistent with the Global Real Estate Executive Team process.  

9. Manage competing priorities as s/he interacts with senior Development leadership in Real Estate, Design, Construction and Development support.


· Required: BA/BS or an equivalent in education and experience in real estate, finance or GIS

· Preferred:  Multilingual

· Type/Description: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with successful QSR/Fast Casual/Multi site hospitality real estate site selection.

 · Required:  Able to effectively manage people.   Expert knowledge of and ability to use a PC and MS Office Suite.  Have excellent written & verbal communication skills.  Have the ability to work in a fast paced, teamoriented environment.  Be highly organized. Able to work independently with attention to detail, accuracy, documentation and followthru.

· Preferred: Knowledge of a life cycle system like Tririga. Bi-Lingual in French and English  


· Required: Heavy travel Preferred:  Candidate will be UK or France based with real estate experience in the European restaurant/multisite hospitality industry.
