THE OPPORTUNITY

The Field Finance Intern will learn daily functionality and troubleshooting of Chipotle’s inventory and labor management systems for 2,500 restaurants globally. In addition to systems management, you will learn monthly KPI reporting for the enterprise to drive insights into the restaurant P&L as well as conduct ad hoc financial data analysis through financial modeling. The ideal candidate has both a technical aptitude for systems and the analytical mindset/drive to develop recommendations from financial data.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

• Support Operations and Finance teams to bring the team’s strategic vision for inventory and labor systems to fruition
• Ensure data integrity between systems and KPI reporting to enable actionable insights for the field partners
• Partner with Back of House Analyst and Operations Services Team to identify & test system enhancements to elevate the restaurant-level experience and improve data integrity and visibility
• Work with external partners to troubleshoot and resolve system issues quickly and efficiently
• Implementing and administering inventory and labor management systems; troubleshooting issues reported from the field as they arise
• Assist in the education/training of inventory and labor systems for new hires (both RSC and field)
• Develop monthly KPI reporting to highlight business trends and influence strategic direction
• Work with the Business Intelligence team to develop new and automate existing KPI reporting                                                                             
• Create ad hoc financial models to assist management on key business initiatives or questions to optimize the P&L – both at the restaurant and corporate level
• Support Field Finance, FP&A and Treasury teams on ad hoc financial analyses

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

• Currently earning a degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
• Possess excellent analytical, quantitative, written, verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Have exceptional Excel skills and technical aptitude for systems and applications
• Have an intellectual curiosity and strong desire to learn
• Be able to troubleshoot, research test, and resolve systems issues
• Effectively manage priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Manage financial data in a confidential and professional manner
• Inventory and/or labor management experience in the restaurant industry is a plus
• Experience in Tableau and VBA is a plus

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Pay range is $22 - $25 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/ or education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
