The Asset Protection Manager drives assessment of safety and security risks; and ensures appropriate business response through reporting and recommendations to key stakeholders to ensure a safe, distraction-free work environment. This role acts as a primary liaison to internal and external customers, including the executive leadership team, local law enforcement, and official agencies. In this role, the Manager oversees the Newport Restaurant Support Center and Chipotle Cultivate Center physical security operations, including direct oversight of the emergency and response procedures and leadership of the onsite security team.  This role is responsible for developing and implementing procedures, training, and education resources for all employees and volunteer safety teams in alignment with building management.  The Manager is responsible for executive protection (including safety, travel, logistics) by mitigating risk and creating action plans accordingly.  The Asset Protection Manager drives operational execution and enhancements to ensure effective intake of intelligence. The Asset Protection Manager also leads performance management initiatives and supports team development.



  • Manages daily operations of the team, to include 3rd party physical security, in alignment with enterprise and functional goals, including the creation of department policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Gathers and analyzes information from various sources to assess risk to the business; Creates detailed intelligence summaries and threat assessments related to crisis events and business impact
  • Monitors intelligence collection processes of the team to ensure effective significance and reliability, and supports analytical studies to support the GSOC efficiency
  • Analyzes threat and risk trends for business and stakeholders, and develops crisis preparedness materials and communication processes for key partners; including multiple functions across the field, restaurants, and corporate offices
  • Serves as the SME regarding crisis incident protocols, application of proper techniques for customer interaction/issues resolution, and GSOC systems operation
  • Assess and identify when a crisis situation, correspondences, directives, and reports to ensure accuracy and effectiveness requires communication to business partners and executive leadership
  • Managers corporate security program within assigned locations (i.e. Newport office)


  • Bachelor’s Degree with specialization, emergency management, or criminal justice
  • Expert knowledge of emergency incident and crisis management industry standards
  • Advanced level of administrative and technical knowledge in security operations
  • Strong decision-making capability
  • Proven capability to develop, coach, and lead a team
  • Ability to work under stress and defuse emotional situations and effectively deliver instructions regarding safety
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and foster relationships works well within a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work a variable schedule including a combination of days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Minimum of 2- 4 years experience in conducting research studies and/or problem-solving using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques and preparing reports, records, and/or technical evaluations related to conducting research
  • Ability to work a variable schedule to support the global operations of a 24/7 team.
  • ASIS Certifications a plus
  • CPR and first aid training preferred
  • Restaurant or Retail Asset Protection experience a plus
