Description
The Digital Media Buyer is responsible for strategy, placement and oversight of paid social campaigns for Chipotle and associated brands. He/she will work closely with the Media Manager, internal stakeholders and partner agencies to plan, buy, optimize, and report on paid social media campaigns.

Responsibilities
In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Media Campaigns
  • Works closely with Media Manager and Integrated Marketing team to develop and execute paid social campaign strategy on platforms including:
    • Facebook/Instagram
    • Twitter
    • Pinterest
    • Snapchat
  • Participates in the strategic direction of campaigns supporting key initiatives
  • Pulls research and creates strategy to inform platform selection, messaging, and audience identification
  • Ability to plan and implement campaigns with different types of audience buying (e.g. 1st party data, lookalikes, keyword, etc.)
  • Creates comprehensive budget and testing proposals
  • Works with Media Manager to optimize all media campaigns
  • Generates and places pixels and performs QA
  • Proactively brings new ideas to enhance campaign performance
Reporting and Budgets
  • Oversees campaign pacing and optimization
  • Develops timely campaign reporting and post-campaign reports
  • Creates and analyzes large amounts of data through Excel
  • Ensures campaigns are on-budget, and approves all media and associated campaign invoices
  • Understands both direct response and branding metrics and how to use them for various campaign evaluation

Communication
  • Initiates and maintains regular communication with all marketing disciplines and business owners. Serves as a liaison between media and/or creative agency and internal marketing team.
  • Cultivates strong relationships with vendors
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have 2+ years of media agency or relevant client-side experience, with primary experience in paid social media
  • Hands-on media-buying experience with social media channels and properties (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.)
  • Previous experience with media analytics and media optimization tools (e.g. Google Analytics, DoubleClick, etc.)
  • Familiarity with an FMP or PMP solution (Kenshoo, 4C, Brand Networks, etc.) is a plus
  • Have proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from strategy through execution
  • Experience in managing and executing other digital campaigns (SEM, Display) preferred, but not necessary.
  • Be an empowered self-starter, with excellent time management skills, requiring limited supervision
  • Lead through influence and positively inspire and challenge others to develop better marketing programs
  • Be able to present and defend ideas to senior level audiences
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Have excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Display, Video, or Paid Search experience is a plus
  • Have a B.S./B.A. in a related field or an equivalent in education and experience
  • Enjoy occasional travel
