The International Payroll Manager leads the current payroll administration as well as the development of future state payroll operations by overseeing project management and implementation of new processes and systems through collaboration, partnership, and excellent customer service. Manages all International Payroll reporting requests from multiple internal and external departments. Work with internal team and vendors to ensure HR, Benefits and Payroll changes are processed,D1 accurate funding occurs for all accounts, tax remittance, general ledger balancing, month-end close support is completed. Maintains policy and procedures for each country outside of North America as well as supporting system integrations between HCM and payroll systems including resolving missing information. Manage the tax filings and amended tax filings as well as balancing procedures for each country. Process the payroll including all different compensation levels including special pays, bonus pay, and stock processing while being in compliance with all local laws and leave laws. Test new set up, system enhancements, system updates and integrations. Ability to provide work around solutions if the automated solution is not working correctly until a fix is deployed. Review work rule and payroll updates to ensure the tools are in compliance. Review and maintain standard operating procedures and job aides and train as necessary. Support the international payroll accounting team with month end reconciliation research and maintenance of the payroll general ledger. Participate in different payroll projects and other opportunities as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manages projects related to the compliance and efficiency of EUR Payroll and HCM. Key partner in HR/Payroll discovery sessions. Partners with EUR People Experience to analyze and conceptualize policies and practices to ensure compliance within payroll, HR & labor practices. Works with HRIS team to use system configurations to streamline processes which includes testing and roll out support to International operations.
United Kingdom Payroll: Process and complete payments timely and accurately based on local regulations. Includes development of manual reporting and procedures and partnership with 3rd party payroll outsourcer to ensure compliance with labor laws.
France Payroll: Process and complete payments timely and accurately based on local regulations. Includes development of manual reporting and procedures and partnership with 3rd party payroll outsourcer to ensure compliance with labor laws.
Germany Payroll: Process and complete payments timely and accurately based on local regulations. Includes development of manual reporting and procedures and partnership with 3rd party payroll outsourcer to ensure compliance with labor laws.
Works with tax department and 3rd party vendors to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and payments of social declarations for three EUR countries accurately and timely. Ensures general ledger accounting is completed accurately to the proper GL accounts.
Maintain multiple payroll data systems to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing. This includes implementing new pay codes and the design and development of Holiday Calendars. Supervises 3rd party vendors through daily processing including items such as off cycles, garnishments, and generation of employee tax records.
Manage relationships and direct communication between US corporate departments, EUR Operations, and payroll vendors. Communicates regularly with international leadership and 4 payroll vendors. Strategizes and implements best practices and procedures in line with company resources and initiatives and payroll outsource capabilities. Identifies and implements process improvements.
Provides monthly reports and account reconciliations related to EUR payroll, taxes, and social benefits to Finance and Accounting. As well as support all International (internal and external) audits.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
B.A./B.S. in related field or an equivalent in education and experience.
10+ years of experience working in a U.S. and Canadian Payroll related field.
Payroll Implementation Experience in Analyst Roles
Experience working with Workday; International payroll experience, EMEA Experience, Fluent in French preferred
