Regulatory Food Safety Analyst will directly support our field operations teams and food safety team. The Analyst will be trained to help support our essential food safety programs and pillars including crisis and risk management, third party audit program, heath department relations, pest program management, restaurant training materials, internal COVID management, new product innovation, and restaurant closures. The regulatory food safety analyst will be responsible to work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure we are executing on our food safety standards and protocols.



In addition to following and supporting Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the restaurant safety support team on crisis decision making from phone calls/emails received from the field related to employee illness, food safety risks, and closure situations
  • Support operations during food safety emergencies and help support escalated situations such as closures, pest escalations, and health department involvement
  • Contribute to the development of national food safety policies, procedures, and materials for all locations and restaurant employees
  • Help oversee our third-party food safety audit program, reviewing quarterly, reporting on trends and help manage escalated situations and appeal process
  • Help manage pest program nationally supporting crisis and escalated situations, reviewing data quarterly and reporting on trends
  • Regularly analyze food safety data and trends to proactively improve food safety performance and procedures. Leverage our risk-based food safety model to ensure restaurants are consistently improving.
  • Develop health department relationships nationwide keeping current on changes in regulation/standards and support the communication to restaurants  
  • Work with the customer incident team on elevated cases that has alleged customer illnesses along with employee illnesses



  • B.A./B.S. in related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Food Safety, Restaurant operations, Customer Experience, and/or People management
  • Knowledge of FDA code and public health requirements
  • Manager level ServSafe Certification preferred
  • CP-FS/REHS/RS certifications preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Able to work any shifts from 8am to 6pm
  • Able to support restaurant crisis occasionally on nights and weekends
  • Build and pull reports and analyze food safety data  
  • Help identify food safety trends and make recommendations to support
  • Resourceful in decision making and risk mitigation/management
